How to delete your Kune account
Last updated: 19 August 2026
Your account is yours: you can delete it whenever you want, without writing to us and without giving a reason. There are two ways, and both do exactly the same thing.
From the Android app
- Open Kune and sign in.
- Go to the ⚙️ Settings tab.
- Tap “Delete my account” and confirm.
From the web
- Sign in at kuneapp.com/cuenta/ with your email or with Google.
- Open the Security tab.
- Click “Delete my account” and confirm.
Deletion is immediate: the moment you confirm, the account is gone and every session on every device is closed.
What is erased
- Your name, your email and your profile photo.
- Your password (nothing is left of the hash we stored) and all open sessions.
- Your own Google API key, if you had provided one (it was stored encrypted).
- Your call contact list and every contact you had saved.
- The push token of your devices: notifications stop.
What is kept, and why
- Your bookings and reviews remain as a record of the tour, but unlinked from you: they still count towards capacity and the guide's rating, without being tied to your account.
- If you are a guide with tours holding other people's bookings or reviews, deleting outright would break their tickets and reviews: in that case your account is anonymised and your upcoming tours are cancelled, with an email to everyone who had booked.
- Minimal technical security logs, for short periods.
There is no tour audio to erase: Kune never records or keeps audio — it is translated live and discarded.
If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access, write to info@kuneapp.com from the account's email address asking for deletion and we will do it for you. You can also ask that way if you would rather not do it from the app.
